  • Natural Lemon & Lavender Dish Wash

Your Facebook votes are in, and the most requested wash recipe was ..(drum roll).... Dish Wash. So here it is... our speedy all natural DIY dish wash with the antibacterial properties of pure lemon essential oil for an effective dish clean and pure lavender essential oil because of it's amazing smell and to chill your mood for a therapeutic cleanse at the same time ;P
    Here's what you will need:
    • 1 teaspoon soap flakes (we used Blants ground coconut soap, you could use any natural unscented soap flakes really)
    • 1 tablespoon of baking soda or washing soda (washing soda is best for a deeper clean for those more greasier pots and pans)
    • 1/4 cup of unscented liquid castile soap
    • 2/3 cup of boiling distilled water
    • 30 drops of pure lemon essential oil
    • 30 drops of pure lavender essential oil
    • 10 drops of pure rosemary essential oil (optional)
    • Funnel (to make your life easier pouring mixture from bowl to bottle)
    • 300ml amber glass bottle with pump dispenser and wash label
    Method:
    1. Combine soap flakes and baking/ washing soda together in a bowl
    2. Boil distilled water and then add to soap flakes and soda and mix well with a whisk
    3. Whisk in all remaining ingredients and allow to cool (it basically cools while you are whisking everything together)
    4. Use a funnel to pour mixture into your bottle. Add pump top and pump down to dispense
