    Natural Scented Play-dough with Spearmint, Lavender and Orange Sherbet

    With the school holidays just around the corner we thought we would share a little natural DIY dough recipe. We have teamed our dough up with some natural textural bits and bobs to add to the experience. Twigs and seed pods also work well, especially if you are making an echidna. 
    Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup salt
    • 1 cup plain flour
    • 2 tbs cream of tartar
    • 1 cup boiling water
    • 1 tbs oil
    • 3 drops liquid food colouring (or number of drops to achieve desired colour)
    • 5 drops of pure essential oils ( we made one batch and split into three and made one with 1 drop of pure orange essential oil, one with 1 drop of pure spearmint essential oil and one with 1 drop of pure lavender essential oil) 
    Method: 
    Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix until well combined and playdoh texture is achieved. 
    Note: If you wish to divide this into three different colours / scents like we did, simply mix all ingredients together first (except essential oils and colouring) and then once mixed, divide playdoh into three and then add colour and essential oil to each one separately.
