  • Citrus and Manuka After Bath Body Balm

This whipped body balm is delicious, easy and can be made with any of your favourite citrus oils but remember it is a sun down treat. We all know citrus oils can cause photo-sensitivity so enjoy it when the sun is low.

    Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup refined shea butter
    • 1/4 cup Unfractionated coconut oil
    • 1/4 cup almond oil.
    • 8 drops of pure Lemon oil, 4 drop of Manuka oil.

    How to:
Combine the oils and butters together in a medium glass bowl.
1 Melt the oils and butters together using short 30 sec. bursts in the microwave, stirring in between.
2 When the oils have melted, stir together and add essential oils
3 Let the mixture cool until solidified. Place in the fridge to speed this up.
4 Then beat with a mixer until the butter turns creamy and frothy. This could take 5-10 minutes.

This recipe makes more than enough or a 60ml jar but this means that there is plenty to keep for yourself after making some treats for loved ones.

  • Lime, Vanilla and Coconut Sugar Scrub

Lime, Vanilla and Coconut Sugar Scrub

Last time I went to Fiji I purchased the most amazing coconut sugar scrub. It was beautiful and left my skin so smooth and moisturised. Amazingly, there’s not much to the recipe and every time I use this in the shower I feel like I’m back on holidays! Here’s how to do it......

    Ingredients:
¼ cup of unfractunated coconut oil.
½ teaspoon of premium quality vanilla essence
30 drops of lime essential oil
Most of a 175ml jar full or raw sugar (approx. 1.25 cups)

    Directions:
    1. Add coconut oil to a mixing bowl and sit it in the sink resting in a bath of hot water until the coconut oil becomes liquid.
    2. Add vanilla and lime oil.
    3. Using your jar as a measure, fill it almost to the top with raw sugar.
    4. Tip the sugar into the mixing bowl and combine ingredients then scoop into your jar.
    5. Pop in the fridge for 5 minutes to set your scrub.
This recipe has a very gentle fragrance, if you prefer your products to have a stronger scent, feel free to add more oil and vanilla.
Keep your gorgeous scrub on display in your shower ready to use when you want to treat yourself. x
